# Rhyme transcription notes

The 18-rhyme list is checked against Sierra's **Mixed-Up Mother Goose Parent Guide**, glossary on printed pages 21–22:
https://www.mocagh.org/sierra/mothergoose-manual.pdf

Wording was transcribed from original 1987 DOS EGA screenshots hosted at:
https://valdronius.sydlexia.com/sydlexia/goose/mg.html

The surrounding commentary on that third-party page is adult-oriented, so the child-facing site does not link to it. Only the game's screenshots were used for transcription. Screenshot filenames, relative to that page:

The last two lines of Little Bo Peep and the “What shall he eat? / White bread and butter” lines of Little Tommy Tucker use traditional wording because those lines were not visible in the inspected screenshots. The app labels these limitations beneath the corresponding verses. It does not claim a complete verbatim transcription. Punctuation, capitalization, and line wrapping are lightly normalized; other DOS releases may use different text. The verses themselves are traditional public-domain nursery rhymes.
